WHAT DOES ONLINE TUTORING LOOK LIKE?
MoBo does. is an online tutoring company who put the individual needs of the child first. We believe that all children have the right to thrive within their education but understand, especially during these unprecedented times, that children, and their families, need an extra helping hand.
MoBo does. offers a variety of online tutoring plans tailored to both Core or Foundation subjects within the English National Curriculum and focuses on wither teaching just one small objective or objectives covering a unit/topic of work.
MoBo does. does all this from the comforts of your own, individual digital screens.
Your child will learn and take part in personalised, interactive and enjoyable tutoring sessions via an online video platform and all your child needs is a laptop/Ipad with a working camera and microphone, a quiet space, WI-FI, a pen/pencil and paper. By using an online video platform both your child and MoBo does. tutors get to see each other “face to face” to communicate clearly, share screens, slides, photos, videos and work.
Before each MoBo does. session you will be emailed a video link which leads to a waiting room. Within the waiting room your MoBo does. tutor will know that you are waiting and will get ready to greet your child with a smile! Sessions will last, on average, 50 minutes but some sessions may be shorter/longer depending on content, context and attitudes to learning. (If a child is not ready to learn, we will not force it but instead add time to a following session with parents/carers permission.)
Before any tutoring takes places, MoBo does. will virtually meet your child within a one off, no commitment, subtle “getting to know you” interview where both tutor and child can learn about the likes/interests of each other. This session also enables the tutor to gain information about your child and use this to plan sessions around your child’s pre-knowledge and interests as well as around the learning style that your child displays. Once this is completed, parents/carers will then confirm if they would like the tutoring to take place.
Once tutoring has been confirmed, your MoBo tutor will discuss timings with you and email you over our MoBo does. T&Cs.
If you have opted for our most popular package (A LASTING IMPACT), at the end of the 6th session, parents/carers will receive a report acknowledging their child’s progress as well as an overview of what has been completed and what could be completed next to further enhance their child’s education. MoBo does. pupils will also receive a personal certificate rewarding their strengths, perseverance, resilience and attitudes to learning.
